During my research about 64 and 32 bit operating system I found many people confused about what computer they should purchase or what bit system they should choose…I think this article should be a great help for people to choose the correct machine for their use.

I found many people asking about that what is the difference between 32 and 64 bit operating system?... I hope after reading this article people would feel free to choose the best machine for them.

A 32 bit processor is faster than a 64 bit processor, 64 bit processors are very commonly used that you can find it easily in any home pc but the main difference is the hardware you are having on your machine. For 32 bits there isn’t any need of any wide main bus to carry 32 bits at a time but for 64 bits its must that you should have a wider bus to carry 64bits.

The main difference between a 32 bit and 64 is that 32 bit system has 4gb(gigabytes) of space for addressing means that the 32 bit system has a limit of 4GB RAM to process data where as the 64 bit operating system has 2^64 bits of space to address and supports 16 hexabytes of RAM to process data.

A person who does not care about the category will find 64 bit more beneficial than 32 bit because he can use 64 bit OS with 32 bit Os and softwares. If we compare 64 bit with 32 bit OS, 64 bit is faster and performs more upgraded silicon processes and have more no of transistors which proves it to be more advantageous than 32 bit.

Now most of the software companies are developing their softwares in accordance to the 64 bit environment, it’s really hard for the consumers to run a 64 bit application in 32 bit environment, in this case they have to upgrade their hardware’s such as RAM which is also a big issue because most of the computer users have less than 1Gb in their systems.

So instead of changing your hardware day by day I would recommend d32 bit OS which is more user friendly and enables it users to run applications of 64 bit in 32 bit environment.

This 9 months’ hard trying, made Viktor a better situation during this waiting, and at the same time, the whole entire were moved.
I got a DVD disc which had this movie in it, but I really love this movie best, now I am looking for a converter that could help me convert DVD to MP4 for mac so that I can watch it on my MP4 player, or to other formats like PS3, iPod, etc.

i have laptop with 64bit processor there is speed but it also requires more coll place to work well because it exhaust more heat as compare to 32bit processor.

Some older software versions will not work with 64-bit version of Vista. However, most software will. If you don't have specific 64bit versions of a program they will just install in "Program Files (x86)" instead of "Program Files"

64 bit can run more than 4GB of ram. 32 can only run 4 gb, but im sure thats enough. the real difference is, 64 bit sends 64bits of data to the processor at once instead of 32. ive used both 64 bit and 32 bit and i dont see very much of a difference. but i think theres some programs that only work for 64 bit, not sure what ones tho. im fine with 32.

I will use Windows Vista Home Premium as an example. The 32-bit version can only except up to 4GB of RAM and has other limitations. While the 64-bit version can have virtually limitless RAM, and doesn't have many limitations. 64-bit OS requires a CPU that can support a 64-bit operating system. A major downside to it though, is that some programs can't function on a 64-bit system. Unless you are an extreme power user, and are planning on adding more than 4GB of RAM, there is no point in getting a 64-bit OS. If you do want more RAM and are a power user, you can mail to Microsoft for a free 64-bit version of any retail copy of Vista Home Premium or Home Basic, while Vista Ultimate comes with a 32-bit and 64-bit version on the one disc.

32 bit OS is for 32 bit processors(also works on 64 bit processors at 32 bit performance), 64 bit os is for 64 bit processors. 64 but processor can handle larger chunks of data.

I think 32 bit os is good option than 64 bit. In India people use 32 bit os. most application which are develop are for 32 bit os. I think 64 bit will be our future and it needs more RAM than 32 bit os.

There is a difference in between 32 bit and 64 bit operating system and most of us remain in some illusion that they are not much different from each other in their configuration but the fact is that 32 bit is very faster then 64 bit processor.
