Getting Poor Google Rankings? Try These Out!

Self SEO > Search Engine Optimization Articles

Then what’s next in improving your sites SEO? Well you could ask some one to do it all for you and pay for it? But then again do you have the cash?

If all fails in your SEO quest then your probably barking up the wrong tree with your keywords. Try using different keywords that are relevant to your site.

A good bit of software called Good Keywords is a good way to start. Search up Good Keywords and you should see the home page for this software. Download it and check out your keywords in search engines and you can see how many people use these words every month.

Now it don’t show Googles information on this so when you get your final number you should then double that number and that is your Google monthly hit rate for them words.

The software also gives good relevant keywords that match your main keyword. This is such a handy tool cause it also tells you how many people search for these words too so you get a good understanding at how big the competition is for these words.

If the numbers are high then you can easily say that the competition for these words is high too. It’s hard to judge on though, so best thing to do is go into Google and check this out for your self. Open up a new search page in Google and type in the words you want to use for your site. Check how many sites are using these words and if there is something like 100 million then you might find it a struggle to get into the first page. Now this does not mean our out of luck for these words.

The next step is checking the SEO of the top pages for some of these words. Once you have done your search on your main word check out the top page and see what its PR ranking is. If the site has a PR ranking of 4 or 5 then you have a decent chance of taking its place in Google. Now this is only possible if your site is set up right for SEO and your keywords.

Stay in this site for a sec, has I want you to check something else out on this site. Go into the open source of this site, you can do this by selecting edit and view open source in your browser (You might have to search for this if using any other browser then IE). Once in there you will see the html code of the site. Check to see how its set up and if the person is using his/she’s H1 tags correctly and their title are set up correctly. If they aren’t doing this then you have a high chance of snatching the top spot from them. Many sites are created in a rush and people forget to use their H1 tags in the web editor programme that they’re using. Remember Google checks up on this and boosts your ranking in Google if you use your H1 tags correctly.

Remember to check that your meta tags are set up and that your keywords are the ones you want to fight for, start off small at first and then build up on bigger words. The more traffic and PR rating you gain the more chance you have of taking that top spot on the good keywords. You will then start to get thousands and thousands of people visiting your site from just these small tips.

Most people give up and walk away from there site wondering why they are not getting no ranking from Google, the steps above are some of the many reasons that people quit Internet Marketing. If in other hands you have plenty of money to fund your web site then why not pay some one that knows the ins and outs of SEO. I use SEO Elite and they have done a very good job so far for me. Anyway I hope you have learned something here and continue to motivate your self on improving your SEO and your web site.
